Community Action Youth Service supports young people from 12-25 yrs old age. We offer many services.
The Community Action – Youth Service (formerly Cooloola Youth Service) provides a range of housing and other support services for young people aged 12-25. Our Resource Centre is located at 79 Mellor Street in Gympie. We have lots of information for young people and if we can’t directly assist, we can refer to someone who can.
Resource Centre Business Hours:
9.30am – 4.30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays
1.00pm – 4.30pm on Wednesdays

The Community Action – Youth Service was originally incorporated as Gympie-Widgee Youth Service in 1984 and changed its name to Cooloola Youth Service in 2004 as part of its 20th Birthday celebrations. The service has provided a large range of programs and services to young people in the region since inception, the core business being the provision of crisis housing to homeless young people and provision of emergency relief to young people experiencing financial difficulty. The Youth Service resolved to merge with Community Action at its Annual General Meeting in December 2010.
